This Spring, the WHWC will be celebrating 20 years of singing in the community. Founded in 2004 with a Music Director, accompanist and 14 singers as a non-audition chorale, the Chorale has grown to 80 plus members. The WHWC has also become an established cultural institution in the community, recognized for  beautiful concerts and known as a place where any woman can sing.

Please join us in celebrating our 20 years of making music on June 7 at our Spring Concert, at St. James's Episcopal Church, West Hartford.

Winter Concert “JOY”

Sharing the joy of the holiday season and the joy of returning to in person singing, the WHWC presented “JOY,” a Winter Concert on December 10 at St. James's Episcopal Church in West Hartford. The Chorale sang Haydn’s Dixit Dominus, three pieces by contemporary composer Sarah Quartel and several holiday pieces expressing joy through music.

In Fall 2020, our 17th season, we embarked upon a successful virtual semester of rehearsing and performing. Many of our members rehearsed virtually with our music director, Dr. Ethan Nash and accompanist Barbara Robbins. The final product of the semester is this concert video.

Please enjoy our virtual performance of "Hallelujah," from Christ on the Mount of Olives by Beethoven (arranged by Ethan Nash), "Ascribe to the Lord" by Rosephanye Powell and "How Can I Keep from Singing" by Gwyneth Walker.
